Stuczynski, the reigning US Champion both outdoors and indoors, became the second best equal female vaulter of all time when she jumped 4.88m last June at the Reebok Grand Prix. Stuczynski, who will turn 26-years-old on 6 February, was hampered by a back injury later last summer season. She has an indoor PB of 4.72m and opened her current indoor season with a 4.61m victory on 4 January.
In Boston, Hoffa will face a stiff challenge from fellow Americans 2005 World champion Adam Nelson and 2004 World Indoor Champion Christian Cantwell.
Goucher, whose World Championships medal was the first ever for an American woman at 10,000 metres, also has run the fastest US time ever for the half marathon.
The women’s 200 metres field will feature the professional debut of Shalonda Solomon, the 2004 World Junior champion and 2006 NCAA champion while at the University of South Carolina.
In the men’s 800m, Khadevis Robinson, a 2004 Olympian and a four-time US Champion, will compete against Nick Symmonds, the 2007 US Indoor Champion.
